Spanish with Polina programs cover all aspects of language learning - comprehension, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation and communication. Polina is not a regular Spanish teacher. Her approach is dynamic, creative and fun, with right amount of challenges to help students advance in their learning. She creates lesson by engaging multiple learning styles, crafting a study path that is enjoyable and effective. She limits her classes to five students in order to provide a well balanced experience between group and individual dynamics. Students learn through games, videos, stories, songs, writing assignments in the context of history, art, culture, traditions and current events of Spanish-speaking countries.
Polina offers different learning modalities and methods: group, individual, synchronous, asynchronous, low to high intensity, scaffolded learning to more organic methods, guided to independent study.
Choose the best one for you depending on your needs and level.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
I’m Polina, creator and teacher of Spanish with Polina. I am a Mexican-Russian-NewYorker artist and nomad. I grew up trilingual, which is so cool to be, because not only I can communicate with a lot of people in their native language, but I can also help my students learn a foreign language and gain an appreciation for diverse and amazing Spanish speaking cultures - from Spain to Mexico, from the Caribbean and all the way to Patagonia.
I have a passion for teaching art and languages. I started teaching art for the Latinx community in a basement of a church in Queens, New York in 2002 and I haven't stopped teaching since. Merging my love for art and creativity my Spanish classes engage the senses and multiple styles of learning. My students learn with excitement and curiosity.
There’s nothing like interacting with other humans when learning a language. I create perfectly tailored course for the needs of a small group of students by bringing together just the right selection of resources. My classes are designed with an emphasis on communication and keeping my students motivated as they navigate the challenges of learning a new language. The courses have the right mix of listening, grammar, reading and writing, with weekly homework, projects and presentations and an optional weekly conversation session to strengthen their skills.
Students learn within a context of thematic units of history, art and culture, cuisine, travel, traditions and contemporary life in Spanish speaking countries.
